He is the recipient of numerous awards for both research and teaching. He has been active in serving on various committees of the American Accounting Association and is a CPA.

The Advanced Financial Accounting 12th edition (PDF) is a comprehensive, up-to-date, and highly illustrated 4-color presentation of the reporting and accounting principles and procedures used in a variety of business entities. Every day the business press carries stories about the complexities of modern business entities and college students must know how to deal with the reporting and accounting ramifications of issues such as:

  • mergers and acquisitions
  • bankruptcies of major firms
  • new organizational structures
  • foreign activities of multinational firms
  • accounting scandals related to complex transactions
  • operations of not-for-profit and governmental entities

and a lot more!

This latest 12th edition continues to provide strong coverage of Advanced Financial Accounting topics with clarity of presentation and integrated coverage based on continuous case examples. The textbook is complete with presentations of financial statements and worksheets schedules so accounting students can see the development of each topic. The inclusion of recent GAAP and FASB pronouncements – and focus on the continuing deliberations of the authoritative bodies – provides the most current content for students preparing for the CPA examination and their future careers. Given the recent rapid pace of the authoritative bodies in dealing with major issues the emphasis on currency and standards in Advanced Financial Accounting has become more important than ever for both aspiring professionals and accounting students.
